Rachel Priest – Ada<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/div>

Rachel Priest, <\/strong>soprano, performs throughout the Kansas City metro area with local opera companies, summer\/YAP programs and ensembles.\u00a0 She is a versatile singer focused on the dramatic roles of Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and Massenet but also stays busy as both soloist and choir member singing sacred oratorio and Masterworks in local concerts and recital series.<\/p>\n

Rachel has many years of stage experience and opera credits include Landlocked Opera, Lawrence Opera Theater, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Opera in the Ozarks, Opera Kansas, Civic Opera of Kansas City and The Boston Lyric Opera. Some of her performances include roles in Madama Butterfly, La Boh\u00e8me, Tosca, Don Giovanni, Cos\u00ec fan Tutte, Marriage of Figaro and Die Zauberfl\u00f6te. Roles sung in French include characters in Berlioz\u2019s B\u00e9atrice et B\u00e9n\u00e9dict, Bizet\u2019s Carmen, Massenet\u2019s Manon. Rachel has also sung Rosalinda in Strauss\u2019 Die Fledermaus in both German and English.<\/p>\n

Rachel started her tutelage with Radio France soprano Mme. Mireille Patrois while studying in Angers, France and then received her bachelor\u2019s degrees in both Vocal Performance and French Literature and History from Wichita State University. While pursuing her Master\u2019s in Music at the New England Conservatory in Boston she studied with lyric soprano Patricia Craig, and later with soprano Dr. Anne DeLaunay at UMKC.<\/p>\n<\/div>
